It was just above freezing here last night, and we awoke to see snow on Mount Palomar, which at 3500 feet is an event, but not that unusual. What surprised us was seeing snow on the mountain range on Camp Pendleton, which is much lower at only about 1500 feet, and just a mile or two from the ocean. This is the view from Casa Miller-Steiner. It occurred to me that six months ago I took a photo from the same spot of smoke plumes, so I’m doing a happy dance about the rain and snow.
A shout out to Mother Nature for this morning’s perfectly staged lighting, too!
